Saying bye to SA and hello to Oz

The plane to sydney from BA was certainly an emotional one...not quite ready to leave South America, and not quite prepared to enter the land down under... however ... once we saw the panoramic views of Sydney at night from the airplane we knew another part of our epic trip had begun...

In one word Sydney was, HOT.  Hottest week on record.. 42 degrees to much.. The Lord Worsley hostel, though charming in its faulty towers appearance, lacked in its provision of cool air...the roof fan being broken Ciara and I and our new Tamworth friends Lee and Steve fought for a week over a small and dingy office fan..

Manley harbour, Sydney Opera house, Sydney bridge, a home cooked meal in Coogee Bay, Sydney Art Gallery, Chinese New Year in China Town, walking tour of the rocks and oldest pubs, Six nations match in Cheers Irish pub plus a scooner or two in Scruffy Murphys, and not to mention Bondi's  HUGE wages, filled our week full of Ozzy fun... then on to Brisbane it was to meet our Australian finnane family, julia and brian meeting us at the airport (a first in 3 months) ....we had definately departed South America and landed in our VERY homely Australia... One part of our trip over, and another one just begining...
